GachaTracker is a small, independently-run passion project. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and the choices you have.
If you create an account: a username, an email address, and a hashed password. Email is used only for account recovery / account-related messages, never for marketing.
Data you enter while using the site: things like currency/stat records, owned characters, and tier lists. If you're signed in, this is synced to our server so it follows you across devices. If you use the site as a guest, it stays only in your browser (IndexedDB) and is never sent to us.
Standard technical logs: like most websites, our hosting and server infrastructure may briefly retain basic request information (e.g. IP address, browser type) for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Sign-in: if you create an account, a login token is kept in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. This isn't shared with anyone else.
Advertising (always on): we use Google AdSense to show ads that help cover hosting costs. This runs on every page load regardless of what you choose in the cookie banner -- the banner only controls analytics. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
Analytics (your choice): we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, but only after you accept the cookie banner. Decline it and no analytics cookies are set.
We rely on a small number of third parties to run the site: Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics (usage analytics), and our hosting/CDN providers. See Google's Privacy & Terms for how Google handles data on its side.
Use the site as a guest and your tracking data never leaves your browser. Decline the cookie banner and analytics won't run -- ad cookies aren't covered by this choice, see Advertising above for how to opt out of those directly through Google. Want your account or its data deleted? Reach out on Discord and we'll take care of it.
